FIREWORKS IN THE KITCHEN
Pour whole milk in the bottom of a clear dish, about 1/4 inch thick
Squeeze several different colors of food coloring on the milk, one drop at a time
(Use several colors)
Next, carefully drop one drop of clear dish washing liquid in the center of the food coloring drops
(For young children, put the drop in a spoon for the child to drop in)
Watch the fun!
ICE CREAM
Materials:
1 large freezer zip lock bag
1 small zip lock bag
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp salt
5 cups ice (approximately)
Instructions:
Place milk, vanilla, and sugar in the small bag. Seal well. Place the small bag into the large freezer bag along with salt and ice. Shake well for about 5 minutes.
*For fun toss the bag between friends. Works to make a double batch also!
SIDE WALK CHALK
Spray the inside of an empty toilet paper roll with oil. Mix food coloring and plaster of paris. Mix using 1 part water and 2 parts plaster of paris (e.g. 1/2 cup plaster of paris to 1/4 cup water). Pour into rolls and let set. Remove paper covering.
